    I want to thank mr Edward, the red cross official who was standing outside the award area who was very kind and who have helped to escort and find a seat for my elderly mother in the refreshments zone while I received the award. its small gesture like dat that makes the blood donor day so memorable for us all.

    Hi,
    My dad took part in the Celebration of World Blood Donor Day at Jurong Bird Park. He had the photo taking with Mr. Khaw Boon Wan but I can’t find his pic though. A response would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi, I can’t find my husband’s photo in the above slide. He wore purple shirt and took the picture with Mr Khaw Boon Wan. Kindly please help to check. Looking forward to your reply. Thank you very much.

    I was overjoyed upon receiving the notification to collect the champion donor award at Jurong Bird Park.

    However, I was greatly let down when I found that my name and the date of award collection was not engraved on the medal.

    Maybe the organising committee could try to engrave at least the donor’s name on the medal to make the donor feel more appreciated and differentiated?

    It was stated in a circular attached in the package on the Ceremonial Day, that all photos can be found online.
    Disappointedly, I could not find mine.

    Hi,

    I am also one of the receipient of the award, but could not find my photo with Mr Khaw here.

    Really appreciate the efforts made to organise this event. The venue is also a good choice and overall, judging by the turn-out, the event was a real success. To organise an event of this magnitude is definitely no easy task.

    However, I would like to put forth some comments (I hope would be constructive for future events). There seems to be alot of volunteers roped in, but the co-ordination for crowd control, ushers and sign-post seems lacking. I joined the long queue to collect the entrance ticket only to find out later that I am entitled a special queue for award winners.

    There were no clear directions for the award winners on what to expect, where the ceremony is and what time to gather. It’s a surprise that I could manage to make my way to the ceremony and meet Mr Khaw.

    This plus some other minor shortcomings had left the outing for me to be a little less than perfect. But in all, I am appreciative of the thought and effort to organise such an event. Keep it up!

    Thanks to organizers for carrying out this Champion Blood Donor Recognition event to show appreciation to the many compassionate cohorts in Singapore.
    Being a Post-Traumatic Brain Injury survivor whom have had lost a third of all my blood in a traffic accident in 1994, I sincerely respect these honorable saviors. This is the why I also make it a point to chip in my part by also being a frequent donor.
    I feel that it is most impersonal and ambiguous to have been passed a medal without the name of its intended recipient encrypted on it.

    Looks like those photos taken on Jun 13 with Mr Khaw giving out the awards have not been download.

    I have been donating blood asince 2004 and so far donated 14 times. I did not receive any info.about the event on recognising the blood donors champions and came to know only through the paper.
    Perhaps the blood bank should improve the communication and keep all the members informed of the events and to encourage it’s members participation

    Hello..I also have same problem here.I couldn’t find my dad’s picture as he did take part in that ceremony with Mr Khaw Boon Wan. I’ll be glad if its possible to see more photos which are missing as to refer back to the comments.Thank you.

    Are you sure all the photos have been loaded? I am sure Mr Khaw shook hands with lots more award receipients than those show in the page. I still can’t find my photo.

    Hi,

    Since we were told that we will be provided with photos, most of us did not make arrangements to take our own photos.

    Especially with the limited capacity you had for people to visit the ceremony.

    I would like to know how I can get a high resolution image (prefreabbly the raw image from the camera) for storage / printing / other purposes.
